Bitemark — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Atlas Peak ("we", "us") handles information when you use Bitemark ("the App"). We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run and improve the App.
1. Data Stored on Your Device
Your food logs, saved foods, saved meals, nutrition targets, streak data, weight entries, settings, and progress photos are stored on your device and, when enabled by Apple, may sync through iCloud. Progress photos are stored in the App's private files and are not saved back to your Photos library by the App.
2. Data You Add
You may add food names, meal details, notes, weight entries, and progress photos. If you enable optional Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode protection for progress photos, authentication is handled by iOS LocalAuthentication. We do not receive your biometric data.
3. Data We Collect
- Usage and diagnostics: We may use Google Firebase to collect anonymized analytics and crash reports so we can fix bugs and improve the App.
- Purchase information: Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment card details.
- Apple Health: If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App may read step count and write weigh-ins only with your permission. You can revoke Health access in iOS Settings at any time.
- Notifications and Siri: If enabled, the App uses Apple system services for reminders, widgets, and Siri shortcuts. Those permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.
4. How We Use Data
We use data only to operate the App, calculate nutrition and streak progress, show reminders and widgets you enable, diagnose crashes, understand feature usage, and improve future updates. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting)
- Apple (App Store, iCloud, Apple Health, Siri, notifications, widgets, payments)
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your App data lives on your device and can be deleted by deleting entries in the App or deleting the App from your device. iCloud-synced data may remain in your iCloud account according to Apple's iCloud behavior. To request deletion of any data associated with you, email atlaspeak@atlaspeakapp.com.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your region, including GDPR in the EU or CCPA in California, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
