Kana Flashcards — Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kana Flashcards, a language learning app for mastering Japanese hiragana and katakana with flashcards, spaced repetition, and typing practice ("the App"), published by Atlas Peak ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or lease any part of the App.
2. Purchases
The App is free to download. It may offer optional in-app purchases that unlock additional features or remove advertising. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID account. Purchases can be restored on a new device using the Restore Purchases option in the App. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
3. Advertising
The free version of the App displays third-party advertisements, including optional rewarded ads, served by Google AdMob. Ad content is provided by third parties and we are not responsible for it. See the Privacy Policy for details on advertising data.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App in any way that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of others, or attempts to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the App or related services.
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content (excluding content you import), is owned by Atlas Peak and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlas Peak shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Atlas Peak operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
